Two summers ago we released a summer collection, it was our 7th. We had prepared to shoot a video for it, with references, a story board, shot by shot, all the little details that would make any production company rejoice. When it came to the music featured, we wanted to work with a hip-hop producer, someone that can understand the vibe we're going for while not straying too far from their original style. Called up Yousef Abouzied and asked who would be the right person for this job, without hesitation, he said one name: Mahmoud Mashhour. A couple phone calls was all it took to realize how dedicated and humble this dude is, specifically humble, which is hard to come across in the creative industry these days. Albeit the video never happened, our relationship grew closer through the years.

The talent on this dude: Producer, writer and rapper. He's a one man force of creative nature who has been working the underground music scene back in the Vent heydays. We'd been waiting to work together on a project for years now but nothing seemed to come together, until about a week ago. One phone call to Mahmoud, another one to Kubbara (Owner of the studio: Warsha Sessions) and we had a date.

We met up on a Monday afternoon, Mahmoud aka SMASHBEATS got right into it. We started with his acapella, a vulnerable outcry on the creative struggle, something we understand all too well. Then we took to the studio. With Kubbara on the keyboard, Hassan Seleit on drums and Mahmoud on the mic, they came out with a one-take remix of his original track titled: Tomorrow. Listen and watch through the video above to the sounds and talents of one of the city's best.
